Given the continuing popularity of MTV's "Pimp My Ride", Burger King has announced it's getting involved in the production of a TV show called, "Pimp My Burger" over in Germany.
So I'm announcing a new venture of my own, to be called "Pimp My Trade Show™." This will be followed by "Pimp My Conference™."
Here's the deal. You hire me to work on your event. You walk away from it and let me do whatever I think is necessary. I get a month to revamp it while you're off doing something else. I work with an unlimited budget underwritten by all the sponsors whose products I'll be using to reinvigorate your beater. When the month's over, you take a look at the new event and go wild with delight.
Fat chance that'll ever happen.
But that would be a pretty cool idea if the decorators, registration companies and other service providers could be convinced to give away more of their already-thin margins.
For now it'll just have to be a session at an upcoming conference.
I also thought about adding Pimp My Speaker, but that could get too personal. And get me arrested.
